Christie Amadio
BHSc - Naturopathy
Christie is a naturopath practising in Edgecliff, working with clients across Sydney's Eastern Suburbs and via telehealth throughout Australia. Her clinical focus is gut health, hormone regulation and the metabolic and thyroid changes that show up through perimenopause and menopause, alongside broader functional and integrative health support.
She trained with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and draws on functional testing, including gut microbiome analysis, comprehensive blood work and hormone testing, where it adds real insight. But the cornerstone of her practice is understanding the person in front of her, what makes them tick, and what's genuinely holding them back, so that any testing or protocol serves that understanding rather than replacing it. She practises at Mito Core Cell Care Clinic and is a Founding Committee Member of Beyond Fertility Frontiers, a practitioner-led not-for-profit supporting reproductive, fertility and postnatal health across the industry, as well as a Technical Adviser with Perdays.
Christie's path into naturopathy wasn't a straight line. She began her early career in the fitness industry, teaching group classes and personal training, before moving into corporate brand management and marketing operations across hospitality, automotive, weddings and events, advertising and golf, leisure and lifestyle. While in Japan, she received her Reiki attunements in the traditional Japanese Usui method. It was this varied background, combined with her own experience of fertility challenges and parenting, that drew her toward naturopathic medicine and a genuine interest in root-cause health.

What I Help With
I work with people experiencing gut problems and bloating, fatigue and low energy, thyroid and Hashimoto's conditions, irregular menstrual cycles, and the symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, including hot flushes, weight changes and brain fog. I also support clients managing rising blood pressure, cholesterol and midlife metabolic changes.
My Approach
"My focus is to meet people where they are, to understand the individual’s journey and to provide healthcare that works for them"
I take a root-cause, evidence-based approach to naturopathic care. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, I use functional testing, comprehensive intake and clinical reasoning to understand what's actually driving a person's health concerns, then build a personalised plan around it. My clinical philosophy centres on working with your body's biology, not against it.
My Story
My journey into naturopathy began when I noticed that many issues were overlooked by a solely symptom-focused approach. This realisation, combined with my personal health experiences, motivated me to study naturopathy, enabling me to provide clients with a truly evidence-based, root-cause alternative for a wide range of health concerns, including gut health, hormonal issues, fatigue, and metabolic health.
I have a strong passion for helping young women understand their menstrual cycles and the natural rhythms their bodies, viewing their unique biological makeup as a foundation for long-term health rather than just a monthly challenge to manage.
