What We Do

A qualified Naturopath can assist you with health challenges or general health improvement and maintenance.

Naturopathy is a system of healing that aims to provide holistic or whole body healthcare by using the intrinsic healing power of the body and treating the cause of a disease rather than the symptoms.

Naturopaths see the symptoms of a disease as the body’s defence mechanism attempting to move the person back to a state of health. By working judiciously with this process the healing response is activated using various modalities such as herbal medicine, nutritional medicine, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, iridology and diet and lifestyle adjustments.

During your appointment you will be asked about your diet, lifestyle, family background and environment, as well as the history of any illnesses or complaints. After taking a detailed health history, the practitioner may use other methods to assess health and provide further information, such as:

•    functional testing

•    blood analysis

•    stool analysis

•    hair analysis

Women's Health

It's an intricate orchestra of happenings that keep everything healthy and functioning well; so when things are out of balance it can result in hormone imbalances, thyroid dysfunction, acne, skin conditions, anxiety and depression, reproductive challenges, fibrocystic breasts, oestrogen dominance, menopause, acne, low sex drive, urinary tract infections and weight gain to name just some. Throw in non-existent energy levels and you have all the makings of a miserable time and life's too short to put up with that.

Men's Health

Men often seem to just "get on with it" and power through the signs and symptoms of a condition until things start to fall apart...or off! Statistics show that historically men are much less likely to pay attention to their health or seek medical attention but hopefully the tide is turning. You have your own special operating system too and when things are't running smoothly it can cause a world of misery. Prostate health, sexual function, muscle atrophy, weight gain, skin conditions, hormone imbalances, stress, anxiety and depression are all good reasons to check in with a Naturopath.

Chronic & Acute Conditions

If you have been diagnosed with or have a family history of a chronic condition such as diabetes, poor cardiac health & high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cancer, thyroid dysfunction, bone density issues, obesity, respiratory issues, arthritis, memory diminishment, poor immune function, skin conditions, allergies and asthma it's important to make an appointment with your Naturopath and work out a plan to improve your outcomes moving forward.

Gut & Digestive Health

This is our happy hunting ground, so much of your health starts and ends with healthy gut and digestive function. Most people will say that "you are what you eat" but a Naturopath knows that "you are what you absorb". Do you know what a "normal" bowel movement looks like...do you have them? Gut function and the type of bacteria (good & bad) that you have in your gut, digestive system (and pretty much everywhere else) is connected to your immune function, mental health, nutrient absorption, allergen tolerance, tendency towards a healthy weight or obesity. It drives the types of food you crave, neurotransmitter creation and function & therefore your sleep and mood...it really is the driving force. Microorganisms living in  your body outnumber your human cells by ten to one with around 1000 more genes than are present in the human genome. Finding a good balance can make all the difference.
